At Victor’s Celtic Coffee & Roasters, we are committed to delivering the freshest possible coffee from our Redmond roastery straight to your door. To ensure you get the best brew, we adhere to a strict roasting and shipping schedule.
Our Roasting Schedule & Freshness
Freshness is our priority. We roast all of our beans every Friday.
• The 2-Week Guarantee: We only ship beans that have been roasted within the last 14 days.
• The Degassing Rule: For the best flavor profile, coffee needs time to degas after roasting. If you place an order on a Friday or Saturday, your order will be fulfilled using beans from the previous Friday’s roast. This ensures your coffee arrives at its peak flavor window.
Freshness & The "Degassing" Rule
At Victor’s Celtic Coffee & Roasters, we take freshness seriously—but "fresh" doesn't always mean "roasted five minutes ago."
Why we wait: Freshly roasted beans release carbon dioxide (degassing). If you brew coffee too soon after roasting, these gases can create an uneven extraction and a "sour" or overly acidic taste. To ensure you get the smooth, rich flavor Victor’s is known for, we allow our beans a short resting period.
What this means for your order:
• We roast every Friday.
• Every bag you receive is 14 days old or less.
• If you order on a Friday or Saturday, we ship you beans from the previous Friday’s roast.
This ensures that by the time the bag reaches your doorstep in Redmond or across the USA, the beans have reached their peak flavor window and are ready for the perfect pour.
Shipping Times & Carrier
We are open 24/7 online and ship 7 days a week.
• Fulfillment Window: Orders are processed and handed to USPS Monday through Sunday, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM PST.
• Carrier: All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-Day Shipping) to anywhere in the USA.
Tracking Your Order
• Order Confirmation: You will receive an automated email confirmation immediately after placing your order.
• Tracking Information: As soon as we begin fulfilling your order, you will receive a second email with your USPS tracking number so you can follow your beans' journey.
Shipping Rates & Packaging
Our shipping rates are calculated based on current USPS weight-based pricing. To keep your coffee safe and shipping costs efficient, we typically use the following guidelines:
• 1 – 3 lbs: Shipped in a USPS Padded Envelope.
• 4 – 6 lbs: Shipped in a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box.
• 6 lbs or more: Shipped in a USPS Large Flat Rate Box.
